Long Island Therapist Tells Jew “Germans Should Have Ended Your Kind”
“Gineth is a real monster, filled with so much hatred that it will eventually destroy her"
A clinical therapist and social worker based in Elmont, Long Island, has been at the center of an online campaign to terminate her license due to remarks she commented online to a Jewish woman.
The mental health provider — Gineth G. Nelson, who goes by “GinnySelfissh” on Instagram — messaged a Jewish woman on Instagram on Wednesday, in response to a post about Israel.
“And how many humans have your people killed? I’m sure it’s more than 28. Germans should have ended your kind,” wrote Nelson, who has been practicing mental health for the past nine years, according to her page on Therapy for Black Girls.
We are keeping the name of the victim private at her request.
As of yesterday, Nelson has since deleted her Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn page, Psychology Today has removed her profile, and a letter-writing campaign to get her license removed has commenced.
Physicians Against Antisemitism (the PAA), one of the largest social media accounts fighting antisemitism in healthcare, wrote a post calling Gineth Nelson out.
“Antisemitism has infected the therapy world at alarming rates,” they said. “This is a reminder once again to vet your medical professionals!”
In an interview, when asked for their thoughts on the matter, the spokesperson for the PAA reacted in shock.
“This is so beyond appalling that I don’t even know what to say.”
"This brings up the question, 'why now? Why did she suddenly decide to make these views public?' It makes us wonder if she has always harbored antisemitic views and felt empowered to share them now given the current climate in which antisemitism has become socially acceptable" said the PAA.
"We have spent so much time exposing those who are openly antisemitic, but we don't know how many are under the surface, keeping their views to themselves, while potentially being no less dangerous to Jewish patients" they added.
StopAntisemitism, an influential Instagram account with nearly 400,000 followers, also warned their followers about her with their new Stop, Don’t Shop initiative, which hopes to spread awareness of businesses and business owners who are antisemitic.
“Please stop recommending this bigot’s profile @PsychToday,” they wrote, referencing the website Psychology Today, which has a widely known feature that allows people to search for therapists near them.
Netizens on the Jewish side of the internet were not so pleased.
“Gineth is a real monster, filled with so much hatred that it will eventually destroy her. It is beyond me how people can harbour so much hate without a thought about what happened on the 7th October 2023. Maybe you should read and listen to people who were there and were lucky to escape,” wrote one woman.
“License#: 085393 go report her for death threats, discrimination, her ethical oath and psychology standards to practice,” wrote “Hawaiimomlife” on Instagram.
Nelson practices therapy through her LLC, Whole Health Counseling. She also describes herself a landlord, providing travel nurses and medical professionals with luxury short term housing. She currently also works with the Virtous Healthcare Group to provide telemedicine mental therapy in Massachusetts.
When one netizen wrote to StopDontShop to let them know Nelson had deleted her social media. “She's cleaning up her mess. As antisemites always do once caught.”

I have always said most therapists need therapists.
It's not worth arguing with an ignorant moron. How you hate SO much.. and being black!!! In the past Jewish people & your kind worked together as we both fought hate. We used to live & work side by side but there's obviously something wrong with you to harbor so much hate. You should be aware all that hate is negative energy you could be using to improve people's lives as well as yours. But you are who you are. Too bad you're such a loser.
