Ivy League Prof Dropped For Cartoons of Jews Drinking Blood of Gazans
“I was informed that the reason for the termination was budgetary, which I think is the same reason they gave to Jesus just before they crucified him.”
A professor at the University of Pennsylvania, one of the hallowed Ivy League schools founded by Benjamin Franklin, has been terminated after posting dozens of antisemitic and anti-Zionist cartoons to his social media pages.
The adjunct professor — Dwayne Booth, joined Penn’s Communication School in 2015 — and news broke last month that Boothe, who uses the pen name “Dr. Fish” had been uploading antisemitic cartoons to his Instagram since the October 7 attack on Israel.
One notable cartoon depicts three young men wearing business suits. They are drinking wine that looks like blood, and each glass has the word Gaza on it, as if to refer to the antisemitic blood libel conspiracy that Jews drink the blood of their enemies.
In the background, a half American, half-Israeli flag is prominently seen. In the corner of the image there’s a peace dove. One man turns to it and asks: “Who invited that lousy anti semitic?”
Another grotesque cartoon features an image of Jewish Holocaust survivors photoshopped such that they hold signs saying “Israeli assassins,” “stop the war in Gaza,’ and “free Palestine.” All of these images were uploaded to “Mr.FishCartoons” on Instagram.
In one particularly disturbing cartoon, Booth illustrates a presumably Gazan baby being shot by a gun with an Israeli flag on it. He did not respond to requests for clarification.
While many of these cartoons have already been uncovered by journalists at the Washington Free Beacon, I investigated Booth’s cartoon page and found even more antisemitic memes, with a very strong focus on Hitler and Jews. Booth also creates numerous other cartoons not directly related to antisemitism but on presidential politics. Yet, antisemitism is still a common theme.
Booth’s comments can also be found on SchneerPost.com, which features left-wing content and prominently promotes Booth’s cartoons. In one essay about “Israeli genocide” written by ex-NYT writer Chris Hedges, Booth’s cartoon is displayed at the top. In that essay, Hedges says that Israeli IDF strategy "borrowed from the Nazis’ depopulation of Jewish ghettos."
"The Nazis shipped their victims to death camps. The Israelis will ship their victims to squalid refugee camps in countries outside of Israel," Hedges wrote. "And if we do not stand in eternal vigilance over evil—our evil—we become, like those carrying out the mass killing in Gaza, monsters."
After these cartoons came to light, Booth was terminated just like dozens of other academics who have been caught promoting Hamas propaganda or antisemitism on campus.
The UPenn president denounced Booth’s cartoons as "reprehensible", but vowed that the university would continue to employ the artist, citing their "bedrock commitment" to free speech.
However, Booth claims his dismissal was due to Trump budget cuts.
“My dismissal… had nothing to do with the false accusations from last year that the artwork I produce as a professional editorial cartoonist outside the classroom were antisemitic merely because they were critical of Israel,” he claimed.
Instead, he claimed that all Penn adjuncts were terminated “due to Trump budget cuts.” However, Penn media relations did not respond to a question as if Booth was telling the truth about his termination. As of 3/28, no news articles have been published about this apparent widespread layoff he claims to be referring to.
In a joke, the humorist later claimed “I was informed that the reason for the termination was budgetary, which I think is the same reason they gave to Jesus just before they crucified him.”
Currently, Penn still has his faculty page up, which chronicles his series of cartoonist “accomplishments.”

Damn. This is pretty awful. Love the fact that he's a yt dude trying to co-opt black people by claiming that most black people agree with him.
I wonder if his 2 black friends approve.
