Ignored in all the brouhaha is the fact that a major American university is teaching pre-algebra, Algebra 1 and Algebra 2. That says all you need to know about the failure of our public schools. 50 years ago everyone in my public high school was done with these by their junior year.

This is exactly what stood out to me, as well.

What an embarrassment for any University to have to have those classes.

Where are the philosophers that deconstruct the Weltsicht of those people? The German saying goes: "Ist es auch Wahnsinn, so hat es doch Methode."

Translation : “If it’s crazy, it has a method (meaning?).” Even so, there is in this country 1.) free speech/ freedom of expression 2.) freedom of religion 3.) No legal discrimination in hiring. I’m not saying you are not right about this guy, but unless they can link him to something illegal they can’t do anything. Especially since he’s teaching math (algebra.) It is both fortunate and unfortunate he is teaching math. Fortunately he isn’t teaching something where he can inject his philosophy, unfortunately he can casually inject his philosophy. It would be better i guess, since some people try to use democracy to tear down democracy, if the government or “white hats” could find some legitimate way to link him to whatever nefarious activities he may be connected to, if at all. Or find some other legitimate way to get him, like they did with AL Capone. 🫤

We have been plenty humiliated. Not the first time in history or the last. But we can make a lot of them damned reluctant to try again. Especially by sudden death, which will make the most wild-eyed Muslim terrorist kind of lose interest.
